November 4th
The Egg Performing Arts Center, Albany (New York)

New York tap-dance icon Roxane Butterfly and multi-disciplinary artist Xumo Nunjo, bring the best of contemporary tap-dance to the stage with a double-program featuring a luminous cast of world-class musicians.

Made in Barcelona, this ground-breaking "Tap Experience" takes its audience aboard a multi-dimensional audio and visual journey. Fueled by the common desire to flirt with new technologies while honoring a tradition deriving from ancient african practices, the show offers a meditative reflection on the making of poetry (originally inspired by the spirit of Andalusian poet Federico Garcia Lorca) which gradually escalates into a spectacular buffet of sound, images and improvisational dances , reconnecting with the celebrative spirit and healing virtue of the trance.
