From popping and locking to the dougie and the jerk, hip-hop has come a long way from B-Boy battles in the Bronx in the 1970s. Ailey Extension instructors Robin Dunn and Jonathan Lee take us through the origins of hip-hop, the evolution of the different styles, and why it’s a great technique for first-timers.
