Class Descriptions:
All classes start with warm-up exercises developed to enhance muscle memory and clarity on basic vocabulary. Focus is always on developing a more musical perspective and concepts to combinations and really zoning in on understanding phrasing and musical structure. Basically, we move, groove, sweat and just have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beginner Level:
Dancers already have taken a few tap classes and are aware of basic vocabulary. Combinations set a slow pace and a great class for those who haven't danced in years or who are just getting the bug!!!
Advanced/Beginner:
Dancers who have had a few years of classes and can pick-up material at a faster pace. Exploring more diverse vocabulary and starting to work on new concepts
Intermediate Level:
Dancers must have years of training and be open to new ideas. Geared for an advanced dancer who wants to learn at a slower pace, or an advanced beginner dancer who wants to take it to the next level!

As you may know, we have been hit extremely hard by huge cuts in our funding. That money gets recycled to you and helps us to mutually grow the industry.
There is a chance that we could do very well with this $25,000 challenge from Chase Bank. If you vote for Dance Chicago (Type in Emergence Dance Theatre) and we win, I will personally make sure that the entire $25,000 is used for artistic fees for Dance Chicago 2010.
We really need this grant, particularly for Dance Chicago 2010 as we hunt for new support to keep the festival alive.

As you may know, we have been hit extremely hard by huge cuts in our funding. That money gets recycled to you and helps us to mutually grow the industry.
There is a chance that we could do very well with this $25,000 challenge from Chase Bank. If you vote for Dance Chicago (Type in Emergence Dance Theatre) and we win, I will personally make sure that the entire $25,000 is used for artistic fees for Dance Chicago 2010.
We really need this grant, particularly for Dance Chicago 2010 as we hunt for new support to keep the festival alive.
