The artistry of Joseph Webb embodies a realm of musical mixes saturated in the lyrics of rebirth and the affirmation of SELF. Relentless in the art of genre mash-up, each composition is a reconstruction of the genre in which it is rooted. The lyrical arrangements become a quasi-meditative chant in the similar tone of inspired self-determination: Reach. Stretch. Be all you can be. Not ashamed to stand alone and sing… This creation in song becomes trancelike as you digest each lyric. Inclusive of all things positive, relatable, desirable, relevant, loving (both eros&agape), spiritually uplifting, gratifying and nutritionally necessary, Joseph Webb is the musical semblance of the Griot in rhythm & rhyme.

The Ailey Extension and E.D. Entertainment in association with Divine Rhythm Productions, is proud to present Ladies Get Down (LGD), an event created by hip hop’s very respected, Robin Dunn of E.D. Entertainment celebrating women in hip hop. In honor of Women’s History Month, the event will feature a salute awards presentation, panel discussion, jam session and dance workshop classes taught by some of New York’s top female hip-hop artists.
The second annual LGD Salute features performances by leading female dancers and choreographers in the field today, paying homage to women who have contributed to the proliferation of hip hop dance and culture. Key women will be recognized for their work as artists, performers and community leaders as part of the awards presentation. The event will culminate in a jam session where these amazing women and participants will all have the opportunity to show off their skills.
